Michelle Henry founded Sober Attraction to make meaningful connections possible without alcohol. With a decade of sobriety and firsthand experience navigating sober dating, she recognized the need for a space where sobriety is accepted and celebrated.
Her experience with breast cancer brought a renewed perspective on life and the importance of pursuing her dreams. That determination helped bring Sober Attraction to life.
Canadian-founded and beginning in Toronto and the GTA, Sober Attraction reflects a simple belief: your choice to live without alcohol deserves space in your love story.

When will Sober Attraction launch?
We’re in private testing. We’ll share a confirmed launch date with our preregistered community when testing and the review process are complete.
Where is the first launch?
Toronto and the surrounding Greater Toronto Area. We’re starting locally to give our first community the opportunity to connect close to home.
Do I need to be in recovery to join?
No. Sober Attraction welcomes adults choosing sobriety for different reasons, including recovery, health, faith and personal growth. Sober Curious members are welcome too.
Does preregistration create a dating profile?
No. It signs you up for email updates. You’ll create your dating profile when the app launches. There is no payment required to preregister.
